TGIF & ADDITIONS FOR YOUR CLOSET

TGIF ALL!
With a day job that includes running and writing my personal blog URABLANKSLATE, handling the Social Media platforms for several successful restaurants & businesses in Frederick, MD. Make-up appointments, photography classes, BOD meetings, lunch meetings and entertaining.  I have learned a thing or two about putting together a fashionable & professional outfit adjusting to the event.  Do not get me wrong, it does take some work and planning.  A lot of closet editing.  I recently posted about the new garmet rack I bought at The Container Store and how I am now setting out my outfits, accessories and all.  Goes along with the NO MORE YOGA PANTS post from last week – Come On Join Me!  Never fear, you can achieve great new looks without taking out a second mortgage.   And I just love shopping for myself, family, friends & clients.  Mixing classic high end things with budget friendly pieces.  It’s like thethrill of the hunt”   for me!  BTW – This is my choice for today- TGIF – errands and lunch with girlfriend Melissa at @TR!  Loving this garmet rack – feeling pretty organized.

GUCCI bag (xmas last year), ZARA tee-shirt, Loft modern skinny zipper ankle jeans, Jessica Simpson shoes, Forever 21 bangles, Michael Kors watch, Forever 21 necklace (2 years ago) “RayBan look” sunglasses Gander Mountain Sports.

Anyway, when particular outfits keep cropping up on my Pinterest feed, magazines etc.  I knew they had to be the next looks I re-created.  For work, parties (remember – holiday season is almost upon us) & design appts, photo shoots.  BTW – photo shoots/ profile pictures are very important these days – everyone is on Linkedln and your picture is very important.  I am really fond of MINDI STAVISH  she is a great local photographer!  I am going to have her take my photo in some classic outfits as well as update my profile pictures.  It’s that FIRST IMPRESSION that makes an impact.  Sounds cliche but its true!

While choosing your wardrobe may seem simple, this all can have complex elements—texture, pattern, shape and pops of color, size and fit – that make an outfit work or NOT work.  These can be ideal outfits for a day that includes work, drinks and dinner all while looking good in a photograph.  Below are some examples along with new key pieces that I love.  Keep in mind find a good alterations person – makes a world of difference.
This is also a great alternative to the all black – try this laser-cut faux leather sheath.    This look below is a modern twist on a classic.  Just ordered mine today!
OK –  So “It’s Friday and I’m In Love” with these pastel pink shoes!
I may be treating myself to these little beauties instead of the almost double $$ the price Manolo Blahnik’s (ohhh but I do need a little Manolo in my life ) for when I complete the #30dayworkoutchallenge. Besides they are PINKOctober is #GoPink month anyway.  Choices, choices……. LOL

Pair with Jeans or black trousers and pastel bag –

Adore this look – Hello Daaahhhhling – great lunch date look.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE – YOU DESERVE IT!
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY,
XOXO LORI
