TGIF Evereyone,
I hope you enjoyed / survived your St. Patricks Day – we drove through town and it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves – all the green shirts clothes costumes were great Frederick!
However, we kept it on the DL & visited my father in-law, took ABE to his vet appt for second set of shots (it’s like baby visits almost – LOL) and ate take out dinner late – although it was from TR I still hate eating late like that. So it was pretty low key, besides I am gearing up for Saturday and our Dinner Party! I am so excited to have this small group over – just six others so a total of cooking – entertaining for 8.
My Menu:
Charcuterie / Cheese Board / Cocktails and Signature Ginger “Mocktail” my favorite!
Homemade Pasta ( thin fettuccine ) with poached lobster & cream lobster sauce ( roasting lobster shells, body etc. & making stock tonight for the cream sauce w/ hubby’s help)
Dry Aged Wagu Steak on the grill ( Mike handling that )
Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Lemon Sorbet making in my little Cuisinart serving w/ Ina Garten’s aka Barefoot Contessa’s Lemon Pound Cake
Coffee / Tea
I also have my Entertaining Log book- OK – Cut to “Anchor Man” I have many leather bound books – love this movie – never gets old…..
I adore this book it chronicles dinner parties, events etc….. also has this like seating charts, shopping lists, menus, recipes, photos its so great – red leather bound. It would make a great wedding gift – so I am noting all parts of shin-dig as well.

HELPFUL HINTS INSIDE THE BOOK |
Today I will go through all my stemware, plates, flatware etc…. to make sure I don’t need anything – will get flowers – our local Safeway always has lovely flowers, fresh at great prices and/or I will run to Costco too.
