Well, we are literally 11 days until Christmas being this is December 15th if you include today. I have a great Christmas gift guide for 2019 some high some low for all your giving needs. Some tech, a good amount of beauty ( of course ) and a little luxe if you and Santa feel the urge. Let’s get right into it. Keep in mind a lot of my purchases I do online in combo with Saks Fifth Ave. and Rakuten. To earn points, gift cards, and cash back! Here is my Rakuten link that if you sign up here I earn a bit you earn a bit and then I can buy more things to share and be the ginny pig for you all! Lori’s Rakuten aka Ebates Link for Cashback! For other purchases, I like to shop local one place is my at my salon Artisnal Hair Co. located on Market St. here in Frederick, MD https://arthairco.com/ they have several gift boxes of great organic products for all types of hair. I am in love with everything Kevin Murphy so go check them out and if you’re not here in Frederick support your salon. Below is just a few of the products I recently purchased. They also have minis which are great stocking stuffers or for secret Santa gifts that won’t break the bank.
Next local is RELISH DECOR DOWNTOWN FREDERICK, MD I’m crazy for this shop all this home glassware, books, bar cart items, area rugs, wedding gifts and registry, greeting cards stationery, cookware, linens…. you name it Relish has it. I am so getting these pale pink semi handmade stoneware dishes they come in pale white and gray too! I think a set of 4 plates is about $65
Relish also carries exquisite linens and pillow like the one I purchased for my upstairs office by RIFLE PAPER CO. (under $100) Goes just perfect with my blush velvet chair from HomeGoods only $199 #homegoodsscore – LOL
When shopping out of my hometown I love to give and receive little gifts from iconic stores that maybe you wouldn’t necessarily shop in regularly. Like these lovely china coffee/tea cups made to look like paper to-go cups by Tiffany! When you purchase online they come in the iconic blue box with white ribbon and are simply a show stopper. The price is reasonable too at $110 for the pair. This is definitely for that someone who loves their labels!
Another nice gift you wouldn’t normally buy yourself is a lovely leather portfolio. I love these types of gifts so great for someone just entering the workforce, for the junior exec, college students or even the creative. With all the side pockets for notes, cards, pens, post-it’s whatever you may need. Add a handsome pen and your all set.
Both products above and below are from Leatherology – I am really liking this travel kit for Mike aka a men’s DOPP kit that can be monogrammed if you want that extra special touch. However, you need to order by the 17th in time for Xmas if you want to monogram so don’t wait too long!
Another gift I got from Saks 5th ave. was this advent tea calendar I dropped off to my mother in law.
Advent calendars are so cute yes we are a bit too late but they are still fun and some companies have such cute ones they’d be great to start in the new year! Who cares right like the Jo Malone advent townhouse….. Below the one, I posted on my instastores.
Also from Jo Malone London are room atomizers and an Iconic candle. I chose one of each one to give and one to keep. They come in a stunning wrapped black box and perfect ribbon tied gift bag. The candle was just under $70 and the atomizer was $120 and should last a good long while. (instruction cards came with both – I learned a few things about how to use room atomizers that will really prolong the scent).
Below is at the DC City Center store that is just lovely and the staff so helpful and really takes the extra time to help you have the best experience for all your home scent needs.
The next is a little piece of luxe – but not at a luxe price. The new Victoria Beckham Beauty lip collection. This is 01 lip liner and just-bitten lip tint great for all skin tones with cognac undertones to the liner and tint. You can fit these in an evening bag. With just a few other things and #Goodtog.
My arm swatch above no filter natural morning light.
Now, how cute is the one below? Combo gifts at just under $100. ($83 plus tax to be exact) I don’t know about you but I haven’t had an evening bag in forever I found out sadly in NYC ( thank you Armani beauty at Saks for the GWP blush makeup bag that doubled as my evening bag that night) I’m not willing to spend big bucks on a designer one. Yes, for real people! This bag came from Off broadway shoes for $24.99 and the two go great together considering evening bags can only hold lipstick, powder, and some cash and cards. You will see the stunning card case in just a few can you say DIOR! We always have our phones out anyway so they don’t have to fit in the bag. But I love this the ring strap is a nod to my chole bags that I adore for $1700 more!
This is such a great gift combo and you can put in cute Holiday bag or wrap in craft paper or better yet plain white paper and black bow maybe add a little ornament from Walmart on the tag to make it #EXTRA
So I mentioned DIOR and a card case that would be perfect in the evening bag. I have needed a new one and fell in love with the new Dior Print in Green and black and it was a B-Day #treatyoself gift… I shop at City Center DC and work with Kat. She is so great to work with – understands my wishlist and that a girl can dream and try-on but maybe not buy all the time. This is one the luxury side of the Gift guide at $400. For me, it’s worth it. 100% Its like wearable art to me and a great addition to my collection – plus I needed one my wallet is busting at the seams. They wrap it in a stunning gift bag with ribbon tissue and the box with a sticker inside its just such a treat to open something from that shop and you will be getting some major points from this one!
Another luxury item for the fashion-forward guy or gal is the all-important LOGO belt. I acquired a reversible ( almost all are these days Ferragamo belt last year). This one is a traditional width black and pale pink to match my Ferragamo loafers. Some belts are quite wide – which really accentuates the waist good for dresses, oversized sweater menswear oxford white shirt or how I wore it with my denim overalls – really makes it too cool. It is Black on one side Valentino Red on the other. I can’t wait to put it with my oxford dress this spring. Look at my new baby from Valentino (no I DID NOT WANT THE GUCCI ONE – everyone has it). It is pricy and I was on a waitlist but with combo or 12% cashback from Rakuten (sign up above people) and Saks points and GC, I earned It was well worth it for me! It’s like I earned money while shopping – yeah – you do the math! LOL
Now back to reality – I love to give books as gifts and Amazon is my go-to for ordering. I miss going to book stores but they rarely have what I want on the shelf and can order but then why wouldn’t I order from Amazon and with my prime membership get it in a day or so. Your welcome Mr. Besos….. also my son Vinny works for them so keep it coming folks. I love health books, cookbooks, marketing books, how-to books, tech books ( that dummy series is fantastic… Canon 80D for dummies has helped me so much). Coffee table books like my Tom Ford book or Valentino books are stunning gifts and come in a slider book cover very elegant and look so luxe when you give as a gift. Below are just a few ( really only a few that I have ordered recently ). After I am done with a book or not what I want to keep in my library forever I donate to Faith House to add to their Family Zone.
Finally, gift cards are always a super gift. My goto’s are http://www.blackhogbbq.com, CB2, Amazon, Apple Store, Amex, Saks, Starbucks, Wegmans, Relish Decor, Autozone, Artisanal Hair Co., Local Nail Spa, just to name a few.
Don’t forget monthly subscriptions too. Plus I still love to get magazines in the mail – that will never go out of fashion with me.
I hope this helps and remember you can earn cashback ( signup using my code – I need more cashback to keep on shopping – LOL ) and you still have time!
